In Bloomington for drone conference, live stream available

I’m in Bloomington, at Indiana University to visit friends and attend the first two days of Reconfiguring Global Space: The Geography, Politics, and Ethics of Drone Warfare, on which I previously posted here. Today’s schedule included a keynote address by Derek Gregory and several interesting presentations. I expect to post about at least one – a very stimulating paper on drone strikes as instantiations of police power – later this week. Tomorrow’s schedule includes a keynote address by Medea Benjamin (activist, author, and co-founder of CODEPINK). As indicated on the Society for Radical Geography, Spatial Theory, and Everyday Life blog, there is a live stream of the conference available online.
